Every work is done by president why we elect prime minister

every work is done on the name of president but president has a few powers in parliamentary form of government .she is a nominal head of the country but actual head is prime minister .for an example the cabinet minister are chosen by prime minister , president can not stop him ,she has to say yes for the names given by prime minister
