This question is interesting. Rough drafts take on so many different looks. I teach high school, and some people vary their drafts.
- It could be written in a complete manner, but with main ideas out of order.
- It could be written in slang or shorthand with tips for what to add on to later.
- It could be barely written, but outlined with topics, transitions, and attention getters
- It could be a masterpiece that was lucky enough to look like a final product, as some authors edit as they write: chances are, this draft still won’t have every single paragraph leading to a point that proves the thesis, aka, some pieces of information may not be relevant.
