(a) Reversible reaction :

A reaction in which the reactants have a tendency to react and form products while the products have tendency to reform the reactants is called a reversible reaction.

(b) Rate of a reaction :

The rate of a decrease in concentration of the reactants per unit time or increase in concentration of products per unit time is called rate of the reaction.
