ionic bond is formed when one element donate its electrons &another recieves that electron
ex MgO, NaOH

Anuku04468: Ionic bond is always formed between a metal and a non metal because metals completely transfers their one electron to non metal and because of this charges are develop on and charges are develop on atom then they are known as ion.
