experiment was conducted by E Goldstein.
→These rays are also known as canal rays.
→This experiment helped in the discovery of the proton.
Apparatus Used
A discharge tube was taken in which there were 2 electrodes i.e. Anode(+ve) and the cathode (-ve).The tube was filled with an inert gas.A perforated or porous cathode was used.
A layer of zinc sulphide was placed at the back of the cathode.There was a vacuum pump in the tube.High voltage (5000v-10000v) was allowed to flow through the system.It was observed that when the gas was at 1atm(atmospheric pressure) no change was seen in the tube. When the pressure was decreased inside the tube, a glow could be seen at the back side of the cathode.
Properties of Anode Rays
Properties of Anode Rays were similar to that of Cathode rays:
Anode Rays rotates the paddle wheel.Anode Rays caused a heating effect.Anode Rays created a sharp shadow showing that they move in a straight line.Anode Rays were deflected towards the negative plate showing that particles are positively charged.
Conclusion
Anode rays were found to contain positively charged particle which was named as the proton.The mass of proton was found as 1.67*10^ -27 kg.The charge of proton was found as +1.6*10^-19 C

Hii,
Friend here's the answer you are looking for ;
before starting the answer I would like to first tell you about atom what is atom then only we we can understand about the particles of atoms means proton.
⚛ ATOM ⚛
The Attacks are regarded as the fundamental building blocks of matter these atoms are so small particles that they cannot be seen by naked eyes or even under a microscope. there are basic fundamental particles of atoms are first electron proton and neutron.
DISCOVERY OF CANAL RAYS OR ANODE RAYS AND PROTON
The presence of negatively charged electrons in an atom suggest that there must be some Patel a charged particle because the atom on the whole is electrically neutral the existence of positively charged particles in an atom was observed by E. Goldstein in 1886 his repeated his discharge tube experiment using special perforated cathode. when the pressure is in the tube is decreased it was observed that in addition to cathode rays a new kind of rays are found the nearest travelled in opposite direction to the cathode rays and also called anode rays are Canal rays because they move from the anode it was found that the anode rays consist of positively charged particles therefore these days were also called positive rays this lightest positively charged particles one proton and is also regarded as fundamental particle in general Proton is repeated as P or P+. it has been observed that the positively charged particles obtained from other gases are also made up of protons this means that the atom of other gases are also contain two or more protons
Thus, Proton is a positively charged particle found in the atoms of all elements.
