The five ways by which new markets and consumers were created in india by british manufacturers are
i) The products were advertised through newspapers, magazines, hoardings, street walls, etc.
ii) Products like cloth were labelled with place of manufacturing along with company's name to make the consumers familiar with the product.
iii) Images of Indian gods and godesses were also illustrated to show the association with gods and divine approval of the products by gods.
iv) Manufacturers also print calendars to popularise the product.
v) Nationalist messages were also used to popularise the product and expand the market with the country.
