The following points may help you:

a. Social diversity is the characteristic feature of every society.Democracy provides for the best structure to accommodate such a diversity.
b. Democracy extends political, social economic rights to all transcending all differences
c. It gives adequate representation to the minorities, by granting them rights and also by means of power sharing. One can give example of reservation policy
d. Democratic governments ensures  accommodation of  the interests of minorities and prevent the possible domination of majority groups over the minorities
e. Democracy  involves competition among various groups to get their demands fulfilled. Making conflicting claims and voicing their concerns is the outcome of Democracy and how the democratic system and political leadership  responds to such conflicting claims is the challenge of Democracy.
 f. Political leadership in a democracy ensures that  demands are accommodated within  a constitutional framework through a system of power sharing  that guarantees political, social , economic and cultural rights to all with recognition and accommodation of diverse interests of every community.
g.  We may give example of how our political leaders while dealing with linguistic diversity were cautious enough to accommodate diverse interest so as to prevent balkanisation of the country. Linguistic reorganisation of the states can be seen in this context.
h. We may also give example  from India, of policy of reservation of seats in jobs and educational institutions for the SC's and ST's, so as to protect minorities from the possible domination of majorities
i. We may also give example of our federal structure which ensures representation to diverse interests.
