The treaty of Versailles was harsh and humiliating for Germans. Germany lost its overseas colonies. It's lost tenth of its population. 75 per cent iron and 26 per cent coal was lost. Germany was demilitarised. It was forced to pay compensation of £ 6 billion. Allies occupied it's rich in resource Rhineland.
