explain briefly the unpaid work done by women

Hey dear!
_________
The answer can easily be found if we try to understand the division of labour in a family.
Unpaid work means the work that does not give anything in return in monetary terms.
The women do a lot of household chores and other domestic works out of lovee or as their duty, whatever perception they my have while doing these works.
Some Examples are listed below.
1. Doing household works--cooking, washing clothes, cleaning utensils , cleanliness of house etc. In rural areas women bring water from the well
2. Bringing up and nursing the children
3. Taking-care work - of family members, elderly and sick etc.
The unpaid work mostly is done by women and it is so because of stereotype gender norms owing to historical and cultural reasons, with deep roots in the patriarchal Society.
For Example (In the text book) - Sheela is not paid for domestic work and her services do not count for National Income whereas her husband Buta ploughs fields and earns money by selling the produce from the market.
But it is aslo a fact that when the women do such works in labour market or when hired for a job, they earn money from the same services that they are not paid for while doing in their own homes and for their own family members.
