If body is performing circular motion along the radius of a circle the force which directs it towards the centre of circle is called Centripetal force.Eg: Moon rotating around Earth. The necessary centripetal force is applied by gravitational force of attraction between earth and moon.

Centrifugal force is a pseudo force( false force) . It means whatever forces are existing in nature we pick any one of them and say it is a centrifugal force depending on situations.
Eg: Car in circular motion suddenly takes left turn the passengers experience an outward pull to the right. This force is centrifugal force since it takes object away from the centre of the circle.
