ACTIVITY TO SHOW CHROMATOGRAPHY :

AIM: To show chromatography

APPARATUS:

paper towels

clothespin or magnet

pipe cleaner

table spoon

water soluble markers

coffee filters

clear cup

water

pencil

PROCEDURE:

Take a coffee filter and mark a line two inches from the bottom.

➡ Fold the coffee filter into half.

➡ Decorate above the mark with markers.

➡ Pour two table spoons of water into the cup.

➡ Fold the coffee filter in half twice and put it in the cup.

OBSERVATIONS:

The colour will travel upwards on the filter.

➡ Take the filter out unfold and let it dry.

RESULT:

➡ Chromatography can be observed.
