Answer:

If the aforementioned limit fails to exist, the very same series diverges. It's denoted as an infinite sum whether convergent ordivergent. The partial sums in equation 2 are geometric sums, and this is because the underlying terms in the sums form a geometric sequence

Answer:

Convergence !!

The beam is used when we want to concentrate light at a point. This type of beam is used by doctors to control light on teeth, ears, eyes etc .

It is also used in solar water heaters and the other devices.

[Seee in attachment figure(a)]

Divergence !!

This beam is used when we want to spread light from a point source of light.

This type of beam is used in streetlight, Vehicles , etc.

[See in attachment figure (b)]

Extra !! :---------------

Convergence And Divergence !!

Both the beams have practical utility and therefore, we need devices to produce coverging and diverging beams . But a plane mirror reflects a parallel beam of light.

Secondly, A plane mirror produces an image which is of the same size as that of the object.

But there are a number of applications where we need images of bigger or smaller size as compared to the size of objects.

We need Spherical And Parabolic mirrors for these purposes.
