Coordination in plants take place due to 5 Plant hormones present in them.

They are as follows:

1. Auxin : This is the plant hormone secreted in the shadier regions of the plant which is away from the sunlight. This is secreted for the growth of the plant vertically. This makes the plant appear to grow towards the sunlight.

Example: A plant kept in dark room will tend to move towards the sunlight due to this hormone secretion.

2. Gibberellin : These hormones are secreted for the lateral growth of the plant which is responsible for the thickening of stem while growing.

Example: A plant on becoming a tree has a thickening which is caused due to this hormone.

3. Cytokinin : These hormone are responsible for the formation of fruits in the plants. These hormones are mainly secreted to promote cell division in plants in a rapid manner.

Example: Formation of fruits and vegetables in the plants

4. Abscisic Acid: This hormone is also known as the stress hormone of the plant. It saves the plant from emergency situations and promotes seed dormancy in plants. They are also growth inhibiting hormone which stops the growth of a plant after sometime.

Example: Plants dont germinate quickly after planting which is due to the secretion of this hormone.
