There are four chambers of the heart. The upper two chambers are called atria and the lower two chambers are called ventricles. Carbon dioxide rich blood enters the right ventricle and then to the right atria. The it goes to the lungs and details oxygenated. The oxygen rich blood then enters the left atria and to the left ventricle. From there it rushes into the arteries and get transported to the different parts of the body.
