when we get acidity because of excessive amount of secretion of acid we feel acidity and take an antacid it is a base so when it enters to stomach it neutralise with acid and makes us acidity free it's just about acid and base HYDROCHLORIC ACID × ANTACID = WATER,SALT,CARBON DIOXIDE.
