Climate affects the lives of people living in Kerala in the following ways :-

Kerala is a state in southern India that has an annual rainfall of 500+cms

(i)     If the it rains late the agriculture sector faces problems , The banana and the mango cultivation in Kerala need  rain showers in the early may/June. In this way a farmer's occupation is affected

(ii)    Kerala also has the highest amount of export/import going on in the country. Too much of rainfall leads to floods which might affect the ports and the trade.

(iii)    Kerala also has a variety of industries revolving around the monsoon calender such as the textile and cotton industry. These industries heavily rely on water for manufacturing and there main source of water is the rain .
