i) The number of valence electrons increase.
ii) Elements elements become less metallic.
iii) Atomic size decreases.
iv) Electronegativity increases
v) First first valency increases up to 4 then decreases.
vi) Boiling point and melting point increase.
Down the group-
i) The number of shells increase.
ii) Elements become more metallic.
iii) Atomic size increases.
iv) Electronegativity decreases.
v) Valency is same.
vi) boiling and melting point decrease.
