As we know human have 23 pair of chromosomes 22 are same known as autosomes and 1 pair is different in male and female known as sex chromosome male has X & Y pair and female has X & X pair if X from male and X from female will combine then child will be female
If Y from male and X from female will combine then the child will boy

akanshanegi65: In sexually reproducing organisms, the gametes undergo meiosis and hence, each gamete contains only half set of chromosomes. When two gametes fuse, the zygote formed contains the full set of chromosomes.
Hence, the formation of gametes by meiosis helps to maintain the number of chromosomes in progenies.
