sexual reproduction give rise to more variation than asexual reproduction because in asexual reproduction only a single parent is involved which give rise to offspring which are genetically identical to their periods. however, in sexual reproduction fusion of gametes from male and female parent combines the character from both of them. this results in more viable variation..
