Evaporation is a process of changing liquid into vapours...Note that Whenever evaporation takes place, it gives cooling effect...
Rate of evaporation means Speed of changing liquid into vapours..or how fast liquit chages to vapour form...
Imagine You drop a water on your bed...liquid evaporates slowly...here rate of evaporation is slower..but if your pour water on Hot floor...you would observe that Evaporation takes place faster...and we get a cooling effect on a floor...Here rate of evaporation is faster...
Rate of evaporation is directly depends on temperature...At low temperature , rate of evaporation is slow ( when we drop water on bed , it takes take to dry as the temperature of room is not much high )
