Hey Friend,

We know that plant cells are permeable and cell sap of these cells is highly concentrated! Now when osmosis takes place cell vacuole expands pushing the cell cytoplasm against the cell wall.
Eventually, a condition arises when the no more water can enter the cell. This condition is called TURGIDITY!
When the cell is turgid the contents of cell exert a pressure on the cell wall called TURGOR PRESSURE!

Turgor pressure provides rigidity to the soft tissues and maintains their shape by keeping them and their organelles stretched. It is essential for the proper functioning of the cell!

Hope it helps!
