Explain how will the power of a lens change when its surrounding medium is changed from air to water. Give the condition under which a convex lens will start working as a diverging lens by changing its surrounding medium. Show this phenomenon by drawing a ray diagram.

As central length of a focal point in fluid is more prominent than the central length in air for example intensity of focal point in fluid is constantly smaller than the intensity of focal point in air.

P (liquid) > P (air)

If refractive list of fluid is equivalent to the refractive list of focal point then the central length of focal point progresses toward becoming infinity for example beams wind up parallel and intensity of focal point is zero for example no refraction.

In the event that the refractive file of fluid is more noteworthy than the refractive file of focal point then arched focal point will wind up negative for example it will go about as an inward focal point. As the P of the liquid is greater than the lens then concave lens will transformed into convex and vice versa.
