The water acts as a solvent for chemical reaction taking place in a cell and also helps to transport dissolved compounds into and out of cells . The water mostly acts as a uncomplicated environment for cellular process .without water cells wouldn't be able remove waste,bring nutrients and transport oxygen . hope it helps .plz mark as brainlist
