{\large{\pmb{\sf{\underline{Impulse\;of\;Direction::}}}}}

☀️ The inability of the body to change by itself its state of rest or uniform motion in a straight line is called inertia. Inertia of direction is a type of Inertia. The tendency of a body to oppose any change in its direction of motion is known as inertia of direction.

{\large{\pmb{\sf{\underline{Example:-}}}}}

A person standing in a bus falls backward when the bus suddenly starts. The reason is the lower part of his body begins to move along with the bus, the upper part of his body tends to remain at rest due to inertia of rest.

The coin has inertia meaning it  really wants to stay in one place. If you move the card slowly, it isn’t fast enough to overcome the force. So, the coin get inside the glass.

The term Impulse is used to refer to fast-acting force or “impact”, Thus impulse can be defined as “The sudden force acting on an object for a short interval of time”. Conventionally represented by J. Sometimes by imp and expressed in N.s

The impulse when plotted against time, the graph of unit impulse is Gaussian in nature.

Hope it helps
