Explain in brief working of megaphone.

Megaphone is like horn used to amplify a person's sound or any other sound in a specific direction. Like common horn voice is introduced at the narrow end of megaphone by holding it close to the mouth and speaking into it, the amplified sound radiates out from the other wider end.
The megaphone increases the volume of the sound by increase in the acoustic impedance seen by the vocal cords matching the impedance of the vocal cords of the air which results into the powerful sound generation. We can also change the direction of the sound in which direction we want.
