Angular acceleration proportional to v2 / r Explain briefly.
Answer: Angular acceleration is defined as the rate of change in angular velocity
Angular acceleration α = dω/dt
Linear acceleration a = r α ⇒ α = a/r
Or
α = (1/r)a, but a = v2 / r
α = (1/r) (v2 / r ), , where r is the radius vector which is a constant.
Angular acceleration is directly proportional to v2 / r
