Question : Explain Microsporogenesis.

Answer : The process in which the formation of microspores takes place inside the microsporangia of plant.

In this process, a deploid (2n structure) mother cell undergoes meiosis and form four haploid daughter cells called microspores.

The mother cell is known as microsporocyte.

The cell division in which a parent cell divides into four daughters cells is called meiosis cell division.
