Before the revolutionary government the condition of women was worse. They could not apply for jobs and were of course treated inferior. Only women of the upper class could go to schools and then were given off to arranged marriage. This miserable lifestyle was changed sooner.

There were many laws implemented to improve the lives of the women in France . They are as follows;
