Hello buddy

The energy posed by virtue of the motion of a particle is termed as Kinetic energy..
Whereas the energy possessed by a body by virtue of its position relative to others, stresses within itself, electric charge, and other factors is called Potential energy..

Hope it helps you buddy..

The kinetic energy of an object is the energy that it possesses due to its motion.
Potential Energy is the energy possessed by an object because of its position relative to other objects, stresses within itself, its electric charge. Potential energy is the stored energy of an object.
