Hey mate,

-» When are more reactive metal displaces or less reactive metal from its salt solution it is known as displacement reaction.

-»For example:-

Fe + CuSO4 —> FeSO4 + Cu

less reactive metal displaced by more reactive metal is known as displacement rxn.
eg:Fe+cuso4=Fedor+cu.
here iron is more reactive than copper so it displaces it and form ironsulphate.
