i) Metallic minerals: These are the minerals which show the properties of metal. it is again categorised into two parts, i.e ferrous minerals (minerals which contains iron), and non ferrous minerals (minerals which do not contain iron).
ii) Non metallic minerals: These are the metals which shows the properties of non metal.
