What is necessary is respect for Life, Liberty, and Private Property under Natural Law....
Democracies remain successful provided the government does nothing more than protect each individual's right to life, liberty, and private property....
As soon as a government promotes the violation of the rights of some in favor of others, conflict arises....
Soon the government is reduced to a tool of enrichment for whichever faction takes control irrespective of its purpose....
Essentially, there are 3 options: no one violates anyone's rights, the few violate the rights of the many, and everyone violates the rights of everyone else....
Only in the first case is democracy sustainable.

Everyone is eligible to contest elections
No unfair practices to be followed
Everyone should have one vote and every vote should carry equal value
