Tooth decay start when the pH of mouth is lower than the 5.5 tooth enamel made with the calcium phosphate is the hardest substance in the body it doesn't describe in water
But it get corroded when pH of the mouth is below 5.5
Bacteria present in mouth produce acid by degradation of sugar and food particles remaining in the mouth
Best way to prevent this is to clean the mouth after eating food
Using toothpaste with is generally basic it neutralise the effects and prevent tooth decay
