Dark reactions make use of these organic energy molecules . This reaction cycle is also called Calvin Benison Cycle, and it occurs in the stroma. ATP provides the energy while NADPH provides the electrons required to fix the CO2 into carbohydrates.

Dark phase is known as biosynthetic phase. It undergoes in the stroma of the chloroplast. The ATP and NADPH which are produced in the light phase are synthesized during the dark phase. Finally Glucose is converted to starch. Glucos, Water and oxygen are the end products.
