TRANSSPORTATION OF FOOD IN PLANTS MAINLY TAKES PLACE DUE TO TWO VASCULAR TISSUES KNOWN AS XYLEM AND PHLOEM.THE XYLEM TRANPORTS WATER AND MINERALS ABSORBED BY THE ROOTS TO THE LEAVES.THE PHLOE TRANSPORTS THE PHOTOSYNTHESIZED FOOD FROM THE LEAF TO ALL PARTS OF THE PLANT . THIS IS HOW TRANSPORTATION OF FOOD AND WATER TAKES PLACE IN PLANTS.
