It is free body diagram in this diagram The downward force is Mg=270N The tension 'R' the it is accelerating downwards so 270N-R=MA We know that body is accelerating downwards with 0.1m/s^2 so 270N-R=27×0.1m/s^2 then substitute the given problem and we will get 'R'
