Explain the significance of 3 and 3 1/2 chambered heart in amphibians and reptiles respectively.

3 chambered heart does not provide well defined boundary for blood transfer, so the oxygenated and deoxygenated blood often gets mixed while in 3 1/2 chambered heart chances of it are less. Hence 3 chambered animals are cold blooded than 3 1/2 chambered ones as their efficiency of respiration would be less.. They actually do not have that much of significance as they are the result of evolution.
