Present situation-
A. Under International pressure constituent assembly has been setup to propose reforms.
B. Govt introduced 19th amendment to abolish executive presidency.
C. Govt to bring reform on RTI.
D.Agreed to setup committee to find missing persons. For the very 1st time a tamilian was appointed as the chief justice of SC.
E. SRILANKA KEEPS SHOOTING INDIAN FISHERMAN even in those area where killing of fisherman is prohibited, the only excuse they give- we thought they were armed and will kill us.
It's really very difficult to recover from such situation. Still there were improvements in relation with big brother INDIA. India and SRILANKA had an agreement and SRILANKA promised to maintain that. But again China's interference was seen as a major issue. Sl was backed by China (one approach) and that brought bitterness in India Srilanka relationship again(even though it wasn't sweet earlier it wasn't even sour there were proper balance).
Current political situation is neither stable nor disturbed but that hatred still exists. Signs of fights and rivalry are still observed.
