Explain the structure of atom?

Atoms are basic unit of matter.

It is further divided in three type- Protons
                                                    Electrons
                                                    Neutrons

The Protons and electrons are together called nucleon.


The arrangement of electron around the nucleus is very much like a solar system.

An atom's diameter is about 10^-8

Atom is the smallest form of matter which is indivisible, the size of atom is 10^-10 m and the size of nucleus is 10^-15 m. In the centre of atom there is nucleus which contains positive charged particles called protons and neutral charged neutrons. The nucleus is very small around which the negatively charged particles called electrons revolves in a specific orbitals.
