During the rule of King Louis XVI in France the faulty taxation system prevailed there.The people of 1st and 2nd classes like the nobility , clergy were exempted from paying taxes. The whole burden of paying taxes was on the shoulders of the peasants.There was an royal deficit of money due to which the amount of taxes, direct and indirect, were increased, yet the deficit could not be reached. The main reason why this deficit could not reached was the dishonest revenue collectors.They would collect the money and keep half of it for themselves.Not only did the peasants pay tax to the king but they had also pay to the churches.
