Covalent solids, also called network solids, are solids that are held together by covalent bonds. As such, they have localized electrons (shared between the atoms) and the atoms are arranged in fixed geometries.

The covalent solids are the one where the molecules are held with the help of covalent bonds.
They are shared up among the amounts to hold up an element together in a geometric order.
However, if a covalent sigma bond is broken off then the geometry shape is distorted. Eg – silica, diamond, etc.
