core - Innermost part of the Earth and is the hottest. It consists of molten nickel-iron

mantle - It is cooler than the core and is the second layer. It mainly consists of oxygen, silicon and magnesium.

crust - It is the uppermost layer and we live on it. There are 2 types of crust- oceanic and continental. Roots of plants anchor themselves here. Animals like moles and rats and other insects also live here because this soil is rich in oxygen. This also makes it fertile.
