Explain three feature of tea and coffee plantation

Three features of tea plantation :-

1. Tea is grown over large tracts of land and requires capital intensive inputs and migrant labourers.

2. It is a single crop grown over a large area.

3. It has industry interface meaning tea leaves have to be processed at the plantation to retain freshness and hence capital intensive crop.

Three features of coffee plantation :-

1. It requires hot and humid climate with temperature varying between 15 degree and 28 degrees.

2. It requires a rainfall of 150 cm-250 cm.
It doesn't tolerate frost,snowfall,high temperature above 30 degree.

3. Prolonged draught is injurious to coffee.
