(i) Relief rainfall is caused when the mountain forces the air to rise along the up slopes of the mountain.(ii) It takes place on the windward side of the mountain and the leeward side gets very less rain and is known as the rain shadow area.(iii) It takes place in the mountainous region, e.g., Western Ghats. High pressure belt to the sub polar low pressure belt.Convectional Rainfall (Noon Rain)(i) Rainfall is caused by vertical ascent (convection) of heated air.(ii) It is in the form of heavy downpour and is accompanied with thunder and lightening. It is for a short time.(iii) It takes place in the equatorial region daily and in the interiors of the continents in summer.

Heya!!

Here is your answer.

⭐Rainfall-The three types of rainfall are :

✨Convectional rainfall
✨Orographic rainfall
✨Cyclonic or frontal rainfall

As you want only Orographic and cyclonic rainfall,I am explaining only them.

\textbf{Orographic rainfall}:-

✨Relief rainfall or Orographic rainfall is caused by the relief or orography of the land.

✨When moisture-laden winds encounter mountain or hills, the air is forced to rise up the slope of the mountains. When air rises, it cools, condensed and forms clouds.

✨When the dew point of the air is reached, it can no longer hold all its water, which comes down to the Earth as heavy rain.

✨One of the best examples of Orographic rain is the monsoon rains that occur along the Western Ghats and the Himalayan foothills. When the moisture-laden monsoon winds hit the Western Ghats and the Himalayas, the air mass is forced to rise.Monsoon winds bring copious rainfall to the windward side of these mountain ranges.

Now, Cyclonic\:rainfall

\textbf{Cyclonic rainfall}

✨This type of rainfall is more common in the tropical and temperate zones, where the mixing of cold air with warm and moist air occurs.

✨It is associated with cyclones in the tropical regions and depressions in the temperate zone.

✨When an area of low pressure ( or a depression) is created, winds rush into the pocket of low pressure from all sides. At times, there is a mixing of cold air masses with warm masses within this low pressure system.

✨When the warm mass of the air meets the cold mass, the warm air, which is lighter, is forced to rise above the denser, heavier cold air.

✨As the warm air is forced upwards it cools. When the temperature drops below the dew point, when the air can no longer hold all its water, the water starts to condense and form clouds that cause rain.Such rain is called Frontal or Cyclonic rainfall.

⭐ Hope it's clear⭐
