In other words, the “Euler integral of the first kind” is also termed as beta function, which plays a major role in mathematics. In physics and in string theory, the beta function is used to calculate and reproduce the scattering amplitude in terms of the Regge trajectories. The gamma function is used in relation to renormalization techniques involving Feynman diagrams and loop integrals.
