A prime number is a number which is divisible by 1 and itself only.

Whereas, a composite number is a number which has other prime numbers as its factor, besides 1 and itself.

Accordingly, Solving by BODMAS Rule,

\begin{array}{l}{3 \times 5 \times 13 \times 46+23} \\ {=15 \times 13 \times 46+23} \\ {=195 \times 46+23} \\ {=8970+23} \\ {=8993}\end{array}

Since, there are no prime factors of 8993, it is divisible by only 1 and itself.

Thus, 8993 is a prime number.
