Ans: If Hydrogen peroxide is not stored in plain (colorless) bottles then light will pass through in and decomposes Hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen. 2H₂O₂ + hᵞ (light) → 2 H₂O + O₂                                                                                 In order to avoid this decomposition it was stored in colored bottles.

Hydrogen peroxide is a highly reactive metal that can react with light or heat to produce water . To prevent it's reaction with light and heat to make water it is stored in coloured bottles so that light doesn't pass through it .
