Explain why it is hard to drag with a person is sitting on it then no one is sitting on it

It is because,when there is nobody on the object,the friction is less.therefore the external force that should be exerted to pull the Object is low.When there is somebody on the object,the friction is high and the external force that should be exerted on the mat to pull it is high..so you feel it is difficult to drag the Object because you should exert a much higher force to drag it..
