solids have a fixed shape because the molecules in solid are tightly packed as compared to liquid and gases.

meghachoudhary1: not possible

The molecules in Solids are closely packed and their intermolecular space is very little, So Solids have a fixed shape but in Liquids and Gases, the molecules are not closely packed; not have a fixed intermolecular space......
So Liquids and Gases do not have fixed shape......

Hope this helps u friend》》
