Planets appear larger to human eyes as compared to stars because they are closer. As the angle subtended by the planets at the human eye is more, the shift in their position(as compared to stars) is smaller. Since, the shift is smaller, they do not twinkle.

Explanation:

planets are located at some distance to our earth..each and every planet is located at some regions in the universe as the stars are more and some of the stars are near to our earth's hence we can see the stars but while comparing with planets ,stars are are too small.in some cases but some stars are bigger ..

ex: sun is a star..

whenever the planets come near to the earth we could see them with the telescope at some cases
